organising a bazaar... me?

Never in my life did I imagine that I would be organising a church bazaar... but then I guess stranger things have happpened.  A dog has orbited earth after all.

So there's a week to go.... and it is a fantastic community effort... though I am a bit all over the place, and yes there are a possibly a couple of stalls that do not yet have anybody to man them yet, but i am sure it will all come together.. any takers?

Margaret has been baking almost every day, and i think I have put on a few just from inhaling all those yummy buttery sugary aromas...

Sunelle has been crocheting her fingers stiff to get the blanket completed for the cotton blanket for the auction, and some goodies for the needlework table.

The boys are making boerewors on Tuesday evening over a couple of beers, to sell by the kilo and also braai some worsrolletjies on the bazaar!

Karen Dudley from The Kitchen may pop round to check on the salads we are going to make from her awesome recipe book  (thank you Alex and Zan for both buying me a copy for my birthday), for our salad table... thank you mom and alex for being the bosses of the salads.

And my good friend Richard AKA Duncan the Magic Dude.... on very special occassions, is making an appearance at 10am, and putting on a little show for the kids... though I am big, and chuckle every time i see Duncan!

Coco and I made some fresh strawberry jam and orange and whisky marmalade.. and will hopefully get a chance to make some meringues.

the list goes on ... and here is the tally:
Pancakes, potjie, spit braai, boerewors rolls, salads, strawberries and ice cream, curry and rice, pudding, cakes and cookies, jams and preserves, clothes, vintage goodies, books, boereorkes, white elephant, choir performance at 11, auction at 12.

For the kids: cupcake decorating competition at 11, a park to run wild in, magic show at 10, play area for tots and lucky packets, face painting and more...
