Kamers vol Geskenke held at Lourensford every year, was a smashing event as always.
I was so pleased when Mariette from Nuweland preserves asked me to style their stall again this year.. This year we wanted light and fresh, so went with some crisp summer colours, focusing on oranges and peaches, bright blue and frosty greens, fresh fruit and flowers. Mariette makes all her preserves and dressings herself, from locally sourced and fresh ingredients. My favourite: the Fig and Rum sauce....
The idea's came together well, but there was a near disaster when the shelves started bending.... the plywood was a tad too thin! But nothing a little reinforcement couldn't save..
