make me pretty..
We had a little cupcake decorating competition stand at the church bazaar last saturday. The kids were great (they even braved a bit of rain) and came up with the most fun and pretty cupcakes. Third prize went to Jordan, second to Holly and our winner was Christopher! Congratulations to all the kids that took part, they made my day with their beautiful creations and excitement.

here is a little poster i made for martin's upcoming church bazaar... church bazaars are my best. Pancakes, cake, pudding, books, vintage clothing, white elephant table, plants and flowers, auction and a lovely community spirit. so if you are in the area, be sure to pop around!

the muizenberg spring market
we popped round frances (from flick and my china) and carl's spring backyard market on saturday, in muizenberg.. it is always a dreamy, relaxed affair. with vintage clothing, beautiful dolls, jewellery, clothing, ceramics, photographs and more created by local designers, and something new and fresh to buy every time. help yourself to tea, coffee and delicious chocolate cake, baked by carl's mum- and leave the money in the tin. relax on the lawn, and let the children run free. carl made a yummy curry, which martin refused to share... he went and bought me my own huge helping. and when you leave, it's just a market, but you seem to feel a little bit more whole.
